cade MICHAEL greyback !
cade MICHAEL greyback !
hello! introduce yourself, you nifty person !
name , Cade Michael Greyback
gender , Guy
age , Seveneen
year , Seventh year
house, Gryffindor
blood , Pure blood, but tainted by his father’s being a werewolf.
wand , Eleven inches, hippogriff talon, flexible, rowan
playby , Jared Padalecki
appearance , The first thing that people notice when they see Cade Greyback is usually his smile. It is a wide, charming smile, displaying his deep dimples. For Cade, this seems to be a default expression. A tall youth (for his age anyway) he has a mop of brown hair with a bit of a wave to it that comes down to just past his earlobes. It seems as though most of the time his bangs are falling into his face, hiding his eyes from view. This is a shame since they are nicely colored, almost blue green, and slanted a bit like an animal’s (this is a trait from his father which he absolutely abhors). His skin has an almost year around tan, due to his love of the outdoors, only marred by a few moles (he laughingly calls beauty marks) such as the one under his eye and the one next to his mouth. His nose is a bit too big for his good looks, but it’s something he tries not to think about too much.
As previously stated, Cade is tall for his age, recently shooting up like a weed to top out at six foot even. Due to the recent growth spurts (which have given him annoying growing pains) his build is more wiry or lanky than particularly muscular, though he shouldn’t doubt he’ll grow into his height. At this point he’s still at all odd angles, elbows and knees that make him less graceful than he’d like. Cade usually wears his uniform, casually, with his red and gold tie loosened around his neck and the sleeves rolled up to his forearms. Much to the annoyance of his professors he manages to always look rumpled, as though he was rough housing or recently rolled out of bed.
When not in uniform, Cade likes muggle clothes despite his mostly pure blood heritage. He finds jeans to be very comfortable and most of the pairs that he owns have holes worn into the knees. Cade usually wears tee shirts or long sleeved tees, almost never collared shirts if he can avoid it. Cade doesn’t have any tattoos or piercings and has no urge to get either. He’s down to earth in that way and, likewise, wears no jewelry.
tell me all about your pesky behaviour !
personality , To begin, Cade is very friendly. Upon first meeting someone, he is open and gregarious, talking a mile a minute and charming a smile or laugh out of people with ease. It’s easy to be swept up and not notice that Cade will give no real information about himself. Sure, he’s liable to start talking about the merits of the Great Hall’s shepard’s pie compared to the steak and kidney, but he rarely reveals personal information and in the wizarding world, tries to avoid using his surname in introductions. He used to when he was younger and it hardly ever went over well, so it’s better to hide in plain sight.
Cade is smart if entirely unfocused. Not that many tend to think so due to his over the top personality, but he is not a stupid kid. It’s not so much a case of not applying himself either as his marks are fairly decent (not Weasley or Malfoy, but whatever). He just gets bored and to be truthful, has no idea what he wants to do when he finishes Hogwarts. He knows a ministry desk job isn’t for him, but he doesn’t really have a passion just yet. But Cade is comfortable with coasting thus far.
To many, Cade can come off as…childlike. His teachers call him immature, but whatever, childlike sounds better. All this means is he likes to have fun, usually aided and abetted by his best friend Teddy Lupin. His fun is rarely harmful, more ridiculous. (“I bet you won’t swim in the lake.” “You’re so on.”) However many discount him as being an idiot for this but everyone has to blow off steam somehow. His way just happens to involve charming suits of to attempt River-dancing.
In general, Cade is a nice guy. He’s friendly, genuinely interested in his house mate’s news about his grandmom. But everyone’s got their bad side and Cade has a temper which can be dangerous. Cade doesn’t like this part of himself and tries (with much success) to smother it as much as possible. He has certain triggers, though, such as his parents and friends, of course, and those people who like words such as ‘half-breed.’ Cade’s temper is fierce, either from pent-up aggression or because of his heritage. Likewise, Cade does not like to hear the word ‘no.’ He would never become violent over it, he’s simply relentless if he wants something doesn’t always take what the other person wants into account.

what about the story of your spiffy life ?
history , NOTE: Mention of non-consensual relations, as vague as I can make them, but if this squicks you, don't read it.
Emily Shyde was a young witch, living in a small town on the outskirts of London. By and large she had what could be considered a peaceful life. A year after finishing Hogwarts, she was working as a nurse for St. Mungo’s Hospital and she had her own home which she loved. No matter how much she cared for her parents, Emily couldn’t live with them forever. Everything was going very well for her, and she was happy. Emily was a pretty girl, with darkly golden hair and bright blue eyes, drawing a few interested looks from men, especially in the hospital, but she ignored them, content on her own. (And anyway, half the patients came in with something magical stuck in some orifice, so that wasn’t at all attractive.)
However when Emily was nineteen, something terrible happened. She’d been leaving the hospital to apparate home, late at night, when she’d heard an odd sound from down the street. She’d tried to magic herself home, but the sound both distracted and spooked her and she hadn’t been able to concentrate. Something in the shadows—there—moved. A hand grabbed her wrist and she screamed. Later she could say she’d recognized the… man, for lack of a better word. For who didn’t know Fenrir Greyback?
Two months later, Emily found she was pregnant. Truly horrified as anyone would be, she ran back to her parents, looking for comfort. She found it, but over the next few weeks her mother insisted she have the child. The sin of the father is not the sin of the son, blood doesn’t tell, and the chances of the child being a werewolf were so thin… Emily wasn’t sure but she allowed herself to be swayed and she gave birth to a healthy baby boy on August 16th. When they askd for his father’s name, she glared at the boy, irrational fury at the innocent babe welling up inside her. “Greyback.”
When Cade was born, Emily stayed with her parents, ostensibly so her mother could help her with the bew baby, but also because they had a fear of Emily suffering from PPD. While Emily was recuperating, she began to see Cade as her son, a person in his own right. He was curious, loved his mother, and didn’t change at the full moon. When Cade was two, Emily felt well enough to move into a small home with her son.
The next few years passed without much excitement. Cade proved to be a bright kid, Emily loved him, and, well, if sometimes she needed a little bit of a drink to get to sleep? That was no one’s business but her own. Like every other magic child, when Cade turned eleven, he received a letter from Hogwarts.
He loved the school and was truly eager to learn magic like his mom could do. However he didn’t immediately fit in. His surname was enough to raise a few eyebrows. Slytherin murmurs of “Wolf-boy” or “Filthy half-breed.” And, yes, Cade knew who his father was and hated the man. He didn’t want to be compared to him. He started a couple of fights, but quickly learned it was better to kill with kindness. And after people figured out that insults didn’t get a reaction, they backed off.
By fifth year, Cade was fitting in well enough. He had a best friend, Teddy Lupin, and things were going good. Of course, nothing can ever stay good for long and his then (first) girlfriend broke up with him, claming she didn’t even think he liked her. Cade couldn’t disagree since he was sort of looking at her older brother for the most part. Cade remains quiet about being gay, save for his close friends knowing. Now, by his seventh year, he’s pretty sure he’s got his stuff figured out.
