The Dark Lord was defeated by Harry Potter. That is a fact all of wizard-kind knows. It is told as a tale of triumph of good over evil, of a tale of hope rising and overpowering dark forces. It is a tale that brings a one Harry Potter to the rank of a so-called super-hero of their world. He, as the Chosen One, as the Boy-Who-Lived, saved humanity as the world knew it.
There are two sides to every story.
Those who had been following the Dark Lord told the tale differently. Their people were punished - the story for them was one of pain, suffering and defeat. Their lives as they knew them changed, as they could not be trusted now, and many had been trusted Ministry employees and held high offices. Their power was stripped away, only certain families forgiven, and all they were left was the pride they held in their blood purity and their family heritage.
The House feuds and Blood rivalries were made even worse as the years went by, and finally reached their peak. The Headmaster of Hogwarts decided that enough was enough. School unity was something that had been craved for years, and as the staff of the school collaborated, they hoped what was the solution had been found.
A year-long competition had been arranged. Those in fifth year and above would be able to enter, though only the best of the best would be brought to the finals. Interviews would weed out the hopeful contestants, and then the competition would begin. The tasks would start out small, gradually growing more and more complicated and difficult to help find the twenty-four students who proved to be the best of the best, and then, they would move on to the last stage of the competition. For this stage, the twenty-four finalists would be released into a dome covering the Forbidden Forest.
The last stage would consist of six teams - four members per team, one from each house. The students went in with only the clothes on their backs (color-coordinated for each team) and their wands. The four would need to work together to complete the tasks inside of the dome, and to help keep each other from injury. While the Forest itself may be enough to terrify most students, the creatures contained inside of the dome were not only of the normal variety - more were added by the panel (the teachers of the school), as were challenges that the students would normally not need to face. Enchantments were places throughout the forest to challenge and press the contestants, and they would encourage team work, thus encouraging house unity.
The contestants were eliminated one by one, either through injury or failure, and the last member standing will bring victory for his or her team.
The question is: will prejudices grow stronger in their time working together, or will they slowly fade away?
In the background of all of the excitement, there are whispers of an uprising. The families who had been punished are banding together, though the following is like that of Voldemort’s beginning - teenagers in school, and young adults who had just graduated. Who is involved, following the ‘New Dark Lord’ in his plans to overthrow the Ministry? And, most importantly at all, is the competition just a free-for-all for them to get revenge?
The only way to tell is time.
Let the games begin.
