Life really wasn't fair sometimes.
If one grew up in a Pureblooded family, they would know this. They would have learned it and grown to accept it over the years, because things that you did not like and could not control would have have been thrown at them their entire life.
Kalypso Malfoy was one of the girls.
Being from one of the most prestigious blood lines, Kalypso -- Kallie -- had been expected to do things she did not like her entire life. Usually she ignored said things and rolled her eyes, but she never knew that it was going to come back and bite her in the ass. Draco Malfoy had seemingly accepted the fact that his daughter was a free spirit that would only obey the commands she wanted to, and the ones that seemed too hard or too complicated would be ignored. However, as she grew older, that changed.
The first step had been making her join Defaeco at fifteen. She had been Marked and enlisted at a very young age, and was expected to follow orders. She did not listen to Damian LeStrange at first, though learned to with time. Damian was different from her father -- he would not take 'no' for an answer. He would smack her around until she managed a 'yes,' and then did as she was told. Some of the missions were terrible and she hated herself for doing them, especially when she had been ordered to break-up with her boyfriend. While she grew to hate her older cousin more and more, it taught her to be obedient, which was what her father had wanted.
However, even that had not prepared her for what was coming.
Kallie should have braced herself once Deucalion was arranged, though she had been naive. She had figured that her father would work with arranging Scorpius and Lilith first, then move onto her. However, she had been very, very wrong. She was the second to be arranged in the Malfoy family, and she certainly wasn't going to stand for that.
Draco Malfoy had, apparently, found out about her relationship with the Muggleborn, and had told Damian to order her to break up with her. However, he knew his daughter, and knew she'd be back with him in a heartbeat. And so, he arranged her to marry someone (Constantine LeStrange to be specific) in an attempt to leash her in even more.
Of course, being the spoiled little brat that she was, she threw what could only be described as a tantrum, even though she was fifteen-years-old. Screaming in both English and French, crying, throwing things. She had gone as far as to trash her room and punch a hole in the door to her closet, but she was livid. Livid to the point of where she felt like she was going to explode. She had not exploded, obviously, but she turned back to her own coping method that she had sworn to give up on.
Her father had expected her to be upset, though he had not imagined it would be this bad. The man was a moron, clearly. Kalypso had inherited the Veela temper from her mother, and it certainly was not a good one. Fortunately, however, she remained Kallie and didn't turn into a frightening beast when angered. She simply threw tantrums and trashed things.
Their poor house elf was going to have a hell of a time cleaning up her room.
Bright blue eyes glared at the ceiling from where she lay on her bed, and Kallie had a chair up against her door. She'd only talk to a few people at this point, and as her father was not one of them, she wanted to take precautions. Of course, one of her older brothers or her father could open the door with no problem using their wands, she felt better for doing it.
The skirt she wore was black, brushing a few inches above her knee, the material soft and loose. The blouse was a turquoise, bringing the color of her eyes out even more, a comfortable fit with a moderately low 'V' cut, and a black tie-on sweater had been added despite the fact that it was warm, Her shoes had been kicked off once she threw herself on the bed, and lay there at the foot.
She was still furious, though had nothing more to do or say. So she planned on laying there, denying meals and most conversation, until her father caved. After all, if his daughter wasn't eating and refused to leave her room, he'd do something to fix it, right? That something would, of course, be calling off the marriage.
Yes, it was a desperate attempt, but it was all she could think of.
